I will ask you to consult with your Doctor and for you to have the support of your GP before I will consent to undertake working with you in the event of any pre-existing injury or illness
Expectations of Therapy:
Each individual responds differently, so I’ll plan and tailor your therapy to best match your needs, individual requirements and personality type. Motion To Mind™ therapy is usually holistic in nature so we’ll often discuss a range of solutions to your issues.
Except for when a specific outcome forms part of the agreement there are no guarantees that any of these courses of action will solve your issues. It is my intention to help you to help yourself, by facilitating a deep awareness of what is actually troubling you, helping you to develop effective coping mechanisms and your personal resilience toolbox. I will make no promises that I can help you, however, I do promise to do my best and in as short a time as possible.
What you are paying for is my professional time, experience, training, understanding and competence. As well as working with you I will be showing you techniques that help lessen or alleviate your issues. In addition we will practice them together. Thereafter, it is up to you to put them into practice as and when needed or as directed. If you have any difficulties with the techniques I teach you please get in contact and I can direct you to a range of home study materials that will assist.
I may ask you to do homework and it is up to you to undertake these tasks in order to gain positive benefit and progression in your treatment and recovery.
It is my experience that the therapy tools I use can provide many beneficial effects; however, this therapy does not substitute proper medical attention.
